Still, we're not talking about fluffy marabou- or lace-trimmed coquetries. Designers, such as Jean Paul Gaultier at Hermès, were clearly borrowing from the boys (or men, actually—cue Gary Cooper). Silken wrappers at Donna Karan and 3.1 Phillip Lim came in rich, deep tones of claret and tobacco, meant more for a well-stocked library than a perfumed boudoir. Tuleh's Bryan Bradley, however, envisioned his somewhat differently: "They're perfect for a mint julep on the front porch or a Champagne-drenched night on the town.
